Free & Reduced Meals

Some children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. To apply for free or reduced price meals, go to www.schoolcafe.com/jeffcosd

New for 2018-19:

Online applications for free or reduced priced meals will be submitted through SchoolCafé.com. Instructions for creating an account and completing an application are available below.

Some children may qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals. To apply for free or reduced-price meals, click on the online application above or click on a language below for a paper application. Online applications are the fastest and easiest way to be approved for meal benefits but paper applications are available below or in your school’s office.

Please return paper copy applications to the front office at your school or the Food & Nutrition Office at 809 Quail Street, Lakewood, CO 80215.

Remember, families must reapply for free or reduced-price meals every year on or after July 1.

Children who qualify for free or reduced priced meals may also qualify for other fee waivers. When completing the Free and Reduced Price Meal Application, families have the option of consenting to the disclosure of the application information to waive school district/program fees.

Please allow at least 10 business days to hear back from the Food & Nutrition Office after submitting an application to allow time for processing.

Remedies and complaint filing deadlines vary by program or incident.

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.) should contact the responsible Agency or USDA's TARGET Center at (202) 720-2600 (voice and TTY) or contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.
