1) Can I Submit My Application Without Filling In All Of The Fields? (Back to Top)
All fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be completed or you will not be able to save and submit your application. All other fields are not required but strongly recommended that you fill in all fields. In the case of the screening questionnaire you may not be considered for the job you were applying for if you do not complete all fields.
2) How am I able to upload a hard copy of a letter of recommendation to my application as an attachment? (Back to Top)
If you have a hard copy of a letter of recommendation that you would like to attach to your application, the document will need to scanned, converted to a PDF document and uploaded to your applicant attachment profile. Human Resources can provide this service between the hours of 7:30 – 4:30 Monday – Friday. Bring your hard copy document to our office, our reception staff will scan your document and e-mail the PDF version to you. You will need to provide the staff with the e-mail address you would like to have the document sent to. Once you receive the e-mail version, you may upload it to your applicant attachment link.
3) How Can I save My Application and Come Back To It?(Back to Top)
It is suggested that you save your application frequently. At any time during the application process you can click save and return, then click save on the "Complete Application" page. Your application will be saved in "My Career Tools" under "Application".
If the Status says Not Applied, then you have not submitted your application.
4) How Can I See The Jobs I Have Applied For? (Back to Top)
Click on "My Career Tools" under "Application".
If the status is Not Applied, then you have not submitted your application.
If the status is Applied, then you have successfully submitted your application.

5)How many jobs can I apply for at once? (Back to Top)
As many as you would like to, there is no limit.
6) How many minutes before my application will be timed out? (Back to Top)
We suggest that you save your application frequently. At any time during the application process you can click save and return, then click save on the "Complete Application" page. Your application will be saved in "My Career Tools" under "Application".
The system allows for a 40 minute session. After 40 minutes of inactivity you will be logged out of the system and all unsaved information will be lost.
7) How Many Resumes Can I Upload? (Back to Top)
You can save as many resumes as you'd like.
Once a resume has been uploaded, you cannot delete it from the system.
The prospective employer will see the most current resume.
8) If I apply multiple times for the same job, which application do they look at? (Back to Top)
The most recent application is routed to the hiring manager.
9) What Format Does My Resume, Cover Letter, Philosophy Statement, etc., Need To Be In? (Back to Top)
Any document you upload to the site can be in the following formats, but it is recommended to be uploaded in Word format:
- As a Word document (doc, docx)
- As a Works document (wps)
- As a PDF (pdf)
- In Plain Text format (txt)
- In Rich Text Format (rtf)
Winzip is not recognized by the system, so please use one of the formats above.
10) When will job postings close? (Back to Top)
Please refer to the job description for the exact closing date. All jobs are posted for a minimum of two Mondays. All positions close at 11:59 p.m. on the appropriate Monday. If Monday is a recognized holiday, the position will remain open until 11:59 p.m. the following Tuesday.
Note: If an applicant is in the process of completing an application at 12:00 a.m., they will need to complete the process again as their information will not save.
11) Who can I call to check the status of my application, or how? (Back to Top)
Applicants are routed to the hiring manager within a few days after the job closes. Once applicants are routed, it is up to the hiring manager as to how long it takes to go through the selection process. HR and IT do not monitor this. Once applicants are routed, you may contact the hiring school or department directly.
12) Can I Create a Cover Letter or add other types of attachments? (Back to Top)
Yes. You can also create these other type of attachments as well:
- Letters of interest
- Licenses
- Personal references
- Philosophy statements
- Simple lesson plans
- Transcripts
- Other
You may combine multiple documents into one and save them under one title.
If you create individual documents for individual jobs, you should identify the position and type of document in the title when you save it.

13) How Many Attachments (Cover Letters, Letters of Interest, etc.) Can I upload? (Back to Top)
You can upload as many of each type of attachment as you'd like.

Any file can be uploaded but the prospective employer may not be able to open it.
15) What if I've forgotten my password? (Back to Top)
Prospective employees: Use the Login Help from the login screen.
Current Employees:
You can use the password reset tool, if you have registered
Or call the Service Desk and select Option 1 and support staff can reset it.
16) What is the expected turnaround time and method of contact? (Back to Top)
The jobs close each week on Monday at midnight, unless it's a holiday, in which case it would be the following night at midnight.
Applicants are routed to the hiring manager within a few days after the job closes. Once applicants are routed, it is up to the hiring manager, as to how long it takes to go through the selection process. HR and IT do not have any control on this.
The hiring manager will contact you if you are selected for an interview.
Usually you are contacted by phone, but sometimes you will be contacted by email.
Usually if you aren't selected for the position you will be sent an email.
17) What if I don't have access to a computer? (Back to Top)
If you need access to a computer, kiosk stations are available for your use in Jeffco's Human Resources Department. See location and contact information below. Bring your resume, cover letter, and any other documents required for the job application.
Bring this information on a flash drive, a CD, or you can send yourself an email message with the information attached, for you to open once you are in our office.
