Jeffco Public Schools offers Choice Enrollment—any student in the county can attend any Jeffco School that has space available.
First you will need to select a school or educational program. Most students attend their assigned neighborhood school, but the district also offers charter and option schools, as well as home school support, online education and special programs.

Enrollment and Registration Procedures
If you have selected a neighborhood school for your child, call that school for registration dates and times as soon possible. Neighborhood schools typically hold registration shortly before school begins in August.
Students new to the area can enroll at the school during the school year.
Some student enrollment/registration information can be submitted online via Jeffco Connect. Check with your school for access to the system.
Families who wish to enroll their student in a school other than their assigned neighborhood school must complete a Choice Enrollment Application, available at schools or from the menu below, and submit it to their school of choice. Applications for First Round Choice Enrollment are accepted in January for the following school year. Students are accepted on a space available basis. Round one applications are prioritized through a lottery process. Waiting lists, which are prioritized, will be created if applicants exceed space available at the school. A separate application must be completed and submitted for each child. Open enrollment may affect athletic eligibility.
Choice enrolled students moving from elementary to middle school and middle to high school must submit a new Choice Enrollment Application.
If a student is not accepted at a school during the first round Choice Enrollment, the student will remain on the prioritized waitlist and be carried over to Second Round Choice Enrollment.
Check with individual schools regarding any required attendance at parent information nights or orientation.
