2008-2009 Budgeting for Results

What is Budgeting for Results?

The district is in the third year of the Budgeting for Results Process. Budgeting for Results provides systems and opportunities to ensure our budget aligns with our Strategic Plan. Spending is targeted to facilitate desired results and all budgetary proposals and decisions must support at least one of the following results:

• Every student is on track to graduation.
  
• Students engage in an education that includes electives, athletics and school-sponsored activities.
  
• All students graduate prepared for higher education.
  
• Jeffco Public Schools add value to the community.
  

Because Budgeting for Results requires research-based and results-driven thinking, the district has been successful in directing funding to proven areas of need.
