Healthy Schools Colorado has funded Jeffco Public Schools to utilize the Coordinated School Health (CSH) Model in schools and to support efforts related to physical activity, nutrition and chronic disease management. Over the course of the next three years, Jeffco Public Schools will have over 40 schools focus on priority health issues utilizing the CSH Model.

Participating Schools

Over 40 schools have been selected to participate in the Healthy Schools grant from 2009-2012.

Implementation

Schools that have agreed to participate will:

  • Establish a Coordinated School Health program in the school building;
  • Developing School Health Improvement Plans;
  • Implementing the School Health Improvement Plans, and Institutionalize Coordinated School Health.
