District Hearing/Vision Screening

The Hearing and Vision Team conducts hearing and Vision Screening for Jeffco students in kindergarten, first, second, third, fifth, seventh, and ninth grades. Hearing/Vision screenings are conducted each spring at all of the Jefferson County Preschools. Call 303-982-5940, for information.

Complete diagnostic audiological evaluations are available free of charge at the district"s Audiology Department for:

• Students whose hearing screening results indicate a potential problem
• Annual follow-up for students who have a history of hearing problems

Hearing screenings are held at 809 Quail, Bldg 1, in the ESS Department.

All students with hearing aids or assistive listening devices are also referred to district Audiologists for evaluation.
