School District Seeks Public Input About School Year Calendar

Jeffco Public Schools calendar committee is seeking public input as it begins the process to develop a school-wide calendar for a three year time frame beginning with the 2008-09 school year.

The calendar committee, composed of students, parents, staff and community members, develops a three year calendar. The calendar must follow state law, which says all schools must maintain a minimum of 175 days of teachers working directly with students each school year.  The group also takes into consideration state determined dates for the Colorado Student Assessment Tests (CSAP).

Anyone who wishes to provide the district with feedback about the school year calendar is encouraged to contact any Jeffco Public School principal, or send an email to calendar_committee@jeffco.k12.co.us.
