Surviving the Atomic Bomb in Nagasaki
Minoru Maeda, a visiting English professor from Nagasaki, Japan, will share his experiences as a survivor of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in 1945 on Friday, March 23, from 8 – 8:55 a.m. and again from 9 – 9:55 a.m. at Bear Creek High School auditorium.  This presentation is free and open to the public.

Maeda was ten years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on his city.  He will talk about the history of Nagasaki, what he actually saw and felt after the explosion, and what can be learned from this historic event.  Photographs from the Museum of the Atomic Bomb in Nagasaki will be shown during the presentation.
