Columbine Community Day and Run for Remembrance
The annual Columbine Community Day is set for Saturday, May 12 in Clement Park, and this year will raise funds to help fund Memorial Scholarships, The Heart of Columbine Emergency Fund, and the Jeffco Action Center.  The event, sponsored by Columbine High School, will begin with a Run for Remembrance.

The Run for Remembrance includes 5K competitive and non-competitive races and a 5K fun run/walk at 8:00 a.m. Race day registration runs from 6:30-7:45 a.m. or racers can register online at www.active.com/running.  The 5K run begins in the front parking lot of Columbine High School, winds around Johnston Reservoir through Clement Park and ends near the site of the future memorial.  Please bring a can or nonperishable food item with you on the day of the race.

Race registration is $25 per person in advance or $30 on the day of the race and includes race entry, t-shirt and awards. For information or registration, call 303-982-4400.

Other Community Day events will follow at 8:30 a.m. Activities include: a variety of booths, plant sale, Mother’s Day crafts, dunk tank, school group performances, dog shows, jumping castle, Rebel wear and other items from the School Store, food and fun! Columbine High School clubs will host the different activities, all to be held in Clement Park.

A motorcycle rally is being sponsored by C2Cride.org in conjunction with Columbine Community Day to benefit the Columbine Memorial. The ride will take place at Centennial Community Church (near C-470 & West Bowles Avenue) and go to Lakeside Amusement Park. Registration for the rally will begin at 9:00 a.m. and departure time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
