Vivian Elementary School Hosts Bike Rodeo
Vivian Elementary School hosts will host a Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The event is open to the community and is part of the Safe Routes to School in Jeffco Project for elementary schools in Wheat Ridge and North Lakewood.
Children who want to participate should bring bikes and join in fun activities like obstacle courses, learning about bike safety and healthy lifestyle tips as well as receive free helmets and other items.

Zerger Elementary School “Night Out with the Stars”
Zerger Elementary School will again present the “Night Out with the Stars” event on Wednesday, May 16, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Students and faculty dress up in their best evening wear and become celebrities for the night as they each get their moment of fame “walking the runway” with red carpet and members of the paparazzi (teachers and staff) taking pictures as they enter the school. Students and their families can partake in ballroom dancing in the gym, making picture frames for their photo and an ice cream treat donated by Meadow Gold.

Evergreen Middle School Celebrates LIVESTRONG Day
On Wednesday, May 16, Evergreen Middle School students will wear yellow in support of The Lance Armstrong Foundation’s (LAF) National LIVESTRONG Day. Students and participating parents will also partner with Denver2Denver on a mountain bike ride at Elk Meadows in the afternoon. Denver2Denver is a 2,000 mile bike ride from Denver, Colorado to Denver, Pennsylvania that will take place the summer of 2008 to honor all those dealing with cancer.
