Principals selected for Evergreen Schools

Jeffco Public Schools has announced the appointment of two interim principals to lead Evergreen High School and Evergreen Middle School.

Pat Harrison, current principal of Wheat Ridge High School, will fill the principal position at Evergreen High School beginning in July. He replaces Mike Greek who will continue to work for the Jeffco Public Schools district in another position. Harrison has been a principal at Wheat Ridge for 6 years and previously served as assistant principal at Dakota Ridge High School. He began his career in education as a teacher and counselor.

Jane Sutera, who retired as Evergreen High School principal in 2006 after serving in the position for 6 years, will return as principal of Evergreen Middle School. She replaces Roslin Marshall who is resigning for personal reasons.

Both principals will serve in these positions for the 2007-08 school year when the district plans to select permanent principals through the regular selection process which typically begins in February.

“We are pleased to be able to place these two highly experienced and well qualified educators in the schools at this point in the school year after we have already completed our regular principal hiring process. They will provide stability to the schools and be a valuable resource in the community,” said Superintendent Cindy Stevenson.
