Jeffco Public Schools to re-dedicate Fairmount Elementary School

On Friday, Sept. 14, at 4:30 p.m., Fairmount Elementary School, 15975 W. 50th Ave., Golden, Colorado, will host a re-dedication ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new addition and remodel.  The dedication ceremony will feature building tours and a school picnic.

Designed to accommodate 650 students, the $5.3 million remodel includes 11 new classrooms, expansion of the kitchen, relocation of the gymnasium and music room, and a rerouted bus loop. The project includes conversion of the existing gymnasium to a cafeteria, remodeling the music room and converting it to a classroom, remodeling the existing kindergarten room for expansion of the administrative space, and upgrading the fire sprinkler system.  

The project was funded from capital improvement bonds approved by voters in 2004.
