November 1, 2007 PLEASANT VIEW ELEMENTARY VANDALIZED OVERNIGHT Vandals are responsible for damaging a roof-top HVAC system at Pleasant View Elementary, 15920 W. 10th Ave., Golden. The damaged HVAC unit will have to be repaired after the vandals pulled out filters and wires from the system. The damage is not visible from the street. School officials suspect the vandals gained access to the roof overnight by climbing scaffolding that was located at the back of the school building by workers who were doing maintenance roof work. Damages are estimated at $3,000. The damage will not interrupt classes at Pleasant View today and the heat will be working by the end of the school day.
