Jan.14, 2008 Kindergarten registration to begin this monthElementary schools in Jefferson County will hold kindergarten registration from Jan.14-18. All neighborhood schools offer full or half-day kindergarten programs. It is best to call the neighborhood school and check on registration dates and times. If parents don’t know the name of their neighborhood school, they may call the district’s school boundaries office at 303-982-2339, or visit the district’s Web site at http://jeffcoweb.jeffco.k12.co.us/property/. To register for kindergarten, parents should bring a birth certificate and proof of immunizations and address. Students must be immunized in accordance with the Colorado Immunization Law, which requires DTP/Td, polio, measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpox and Hepatitis B vaccinations. Please check with your child’s physician and bring the correct immunization card. Students must be five years old by Oct. 1, 2008 to enter kindergarten and six by that same date to enter first grade.
