Jefferson County Board of Education declares vacancy

The Jefferson County Board of Education has declared a vacancy on its board in the wake of the resignation of member Vince Chowdury.  The board will be taking applications for the Director, District 5 position which represents the Columbine, Chatfield and Dakota Ridge area of Jefferson County.

Interested residents of Jefferson County have until Wednesday, Sept. 3, to submit a letter of interest to the Board of Education.  The vacancy must be filled within 60 days or by Oct. 20, 2008.
