JEFFCO STUDENT RUNS A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN
It was a tough battle, but Ryan Dyck came out victorious.

Dyck, a senior at Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton, was recently named the 2009-2010 International DECA President in Anaheim, Calif. at the International Career Development Conference.

DECA, an association of marketing students, has over 180,000 members, mostly juniors and seniors, in over 4,000 high schools across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and territories, Mexico, Germany and Canada.

Dyck will defer his first year of college to serve his term and will then attend Johnson and Wales University in the fall of 2010 on a full-ride scholarship.

“I could not have done it without my campaign manager,” said Dyck referring to Shelby Vermeyla, also a senior at Dakota Ridge.
