Jeffco School Board selects new member and new president

Members of the Jefferson County Board of Education have selected Robin Johnson as the new board member from District 1.  Johnson fills the seat left vacant when former board member and President, Scott Benefield resigned in June for personal reasons.

 Johnson lives in Arvada, has three children in Jeffco schools and has been active in PTA.  She will take the oath of office on September 3 at 6 p.m.  As an appointee, she will have to run for election in November from District 1. 

The board has also reorganized, electing Sue Marinelli as president and Rick Rush as secretary/treasurer.
