District dedicates Evergreen Middle School addition

Jeffco Public Schools will host a dedication ceremony at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 for Evergreen Middle School’s new addition. The dedication, open to the public, will take place at 2059 Hiwan Dr. in Evergreen.

The $10 million Evergreen Middle School addition/remodel increased the student capacity of the building from 420 to 700 students and will be enlarged to approximately 115, 900 square feet to include the following:

• Full size gym
• Locker rooms, fitness room and upper level science classrooms
• New Roof and restrooms
• West classrooms remodeled and a new art room and courtyard added
• New main entrance and lobby with card access security system and video surveillance
• New administrative offices adjacent to the main entry

   The project was funded from bonds approved by voters in 2004.
