Choice enrollment opens for Jeffco Public Schools

Jefferson County families who wish to enroll their children in a school other than their neighborhood school, have the option of participating in Jeffco Public Schools’ choice enrollment process for the 2010-2011 school year.

First round choice enrollment for grades K-8 begins on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and closes on Monday, March 1 with parent notification by Monday, March 15. First round choice enrollment for grades 9-12 begins Wednesday, Jan. 6 and closes Monday, Jan. 25 with parent notification by Monday, Feb. 15.  

Second round choice enrollment for grades K-8 begins Tuesday, March 16 and closes Monday, August 30. For grades 9-12, second round choice enrollment begins Tuesday, Feb. 16 and closes Monday, Aug. 30.

Any student in Colorado may enroll in any Jeffco Public School that has classroom space. To access a choice enrollment form, go to http://jeffcoweb.jeffco.k12.co.us/enrollment.

Simply fill out the form and submit it to the school of choice. Students will be accepted on a space available basis. Round one applications will be prioritized through a lottery process and waiting lists will be created if applicants exceed space available at the school. A separate application must be completed and submitted for each child.
