JEFFCO’S FINANCIAL SERVICES WINS AWARD
Jeffco’s Chief Financial Officer, Lorie Gillis, has been presented the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. (GFOA). 

Gillis shares the award with her financial services staff, which is pioneering efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and providing an excellent example for other governments throughout North America.

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving over 17,000 government finance professionals in the U.S.  The GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award is the only national awards program in governmental budgeting.

To receive the budget award, the organization must satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.  Budget documents must be rated “proficient” in all four categories, and the fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories, to receive the award.
