Jeffco Public Schools Hosts Celebration of Excellence

Jeffco Public Schools will host the fifth annual Celebration of Excellence on Wednesday, April 21, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Lakewood High School, 9700 W. 8th Ave., Lakewood, CO 80215.

The event will recognize the significant accomplishments and dedication of Jeffco students, staff and community members who have supported the district over the last year. Honorees will include Deer Creek Middle School students Matt Thieu and Reagan Weber and teacher Dr. David Benke. Sharing the stage to recognize them, and other heroes from the school shooting, will be Jeffco Sheriff Ted Mink and West Metro Fire Rescue Division Chief Bruce Kral. The celebration also includes award-winning school musical and performing acts.
