STUDENTS INVITE DAY WITHOUT HATE
Students, staff and parents will wear Day Without Hate T-shirts or white, on Friday, April 30 to show their support for a day that encourages everyone to set aside their differences and celebrate what they have in common.

Standley Lake High School students started Day Without Hate four years ago in response to the tragedy at Virginia Tech.

Over 10,000 Day Without Hate T-shirts were sold to the Jeffco Schools community.

“The idea is to prevent school violence and to encourage students to not live in fear,” said Day Without Hate faculty advisor Ben Reed.

Participating students and staff will wear white T-shirts, paper their schools with posters about peace and attend a district-wide rally where hundreds of students are expected. Wearing the T-shirt is also free admission ticket to the Friday, April 30 district-wide rally at the North Area Athletic Complex 6 – 8 p.m.
