Our Mission:
The mission of Jeffco's 21st Century Virtual Academy is to provide a quality education that prepares children throughout the state of Colorado for a successful future. We believe where a student lives should not determine their access to a quality education. A world-class education is delivered through rigor, relevance and relationships.
Our graduation requirements, responsive instruction and access to options such as Post-Secondary Enrollment, Advanced Placement courses, and an Early College Program help to ensure a rigourous education. Education must be relevant to our students in order for it to have meaning. Online learning in itself is relevent to today's students who have generally been exposed to computers and the Internet as part of their daily lives. Our classes require students to apply their knowledge, concepts and skills to solve real-world problems.
Relationships are the glue that binds students and staff together in one common learning community. Through the use of an Advisement Program, online real-time learning connections, clubs, and student organizations, students will experience more than just a series of online courses at Jeffco’s 21st Century Virtual Academy; they will be part of a community of learners.
