RENEWABLE ENERGY
1.0 Credit
This course will take a close look at energy conservation and efficiency and the science behind renewable energy forms that will be shaping our lives. Learn to build a wind turbine and test solar panels. It will examine how these energy forms will impact the environment, society and our lives. The second half of this class will be looking at other big players in the renewable energy field. Learn to build a fuel cell and an electrolyzer to split water molecules into a usable fuel source for your fuel cell using the sun's energy. Create biodiesel from vegetable oil and explore future modes of transportation. Take a close look at other renewable energy forms such as hydro-electric and geothermal.
