Jeffco 21st Century Virtual Academy - Enrollment Information

General Enrollment Information

Students in 7th -12th grade who are Colorado residents are eligible to attend Jeffco's 21st Century Virtual Academy. Because we are part of the Jeffco Public School District, the Virtual Academy is free to students younger than 21 years old, who enroll in full or part-time classes. Credit recovery courses, which are tuition-based, are also available for students.

Jeffco’s 21st Century Virtual Academy offers three enrollment options to meet the needs of today’s students.

Select a Study Option

• Full-time Study -This is an option for students wishing to complete four or more courses during the fall and spring semester. This course of study will lead to a high school diploma from the Virtual Academy. However, students will need to complete more than four classes a semester to meet Jeffco Public Schools’ graduation requirements in a timely fashion.
  
  
• Part-time Study – Studying online part time is ideal for students who need to schedule school around other activities and or want to be enrolled in another Jeffco or private Colorado school part time. This is an option for students who wish to complete one to three courses during the fall and spring semester. Students enrolled part-time in the Virtual Academy can be simultaneously enrolled in another Jeffco public school.
  
  
• Credit Recovery – These classes can help students make up credits towards reaching graduation. These classes may require tuition, and are only offered in core subject areas. Credit Recovery sessions begin several times throughout the year.

Apply for an Enrollment Option

• Enrollment for full-time and part-time study is now open. The Virtual Academy follows Jeffco Public Schools’ calendar.

• Credit recovery is available for students who wish to make up lost credits. Credit recovery classes begin multiple times throughout the year. Visit the Credit Recovery page to enroll.

Jeffco’s 21st Virtual Academy offers a growing list of rigorous and engaging courses in core subjects like Math, English, Social Studies and Science. There are also elective classes in subjects such as Video Game Design or Lifetime Fitness.
