Enrollment for Part-Time Study

Part-time online classes are designed for students who need flexibility to study outside of the traditional classroom. Enrollment in one to three courses during the fall and spring semester is considered part time. Often, part-time students take some classes with the Virtual Academy and the remainder at their regular high school or at-home classes.

Part-time enrollment in Jeffco's 21st Century Online Virtual Academy is available to students in 9th -12th grade.  Students must be a resident of Colorado and younger than 21 years of age. Because we are part of the Jeffco Public School District, the Virtual Academy is able to offer tuition-free enrollment to high school-aged Colorado residents.

Students older than 21 years of age should check out our supplemental course offerings.

Fees are charged for some course materials. However, students may qualify for financial assistance for computers, Internet access and course materials. Find out more about financial assistance.

Submit an Application

Part time enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year is now closed. The online application for the 2010-2011 school year will be available in spring 2010.

Completing and submitting this online application does not consititute enrollment in Jeffco's 21st Century Virtual Academy. The Virtual Academy is unable to determine the student's eligibility for enrollment until all documentation is received.

Submit Required Documentation

After submitting the online application, the student will need to submit forms and documentation that is necessary for enrollment. See the documentation checklist.

Application Review and Registration

Because every student is unique, the Virtual Academy will work closely with you to answer questions about our program and to facilitate enrollment. A staff member will contact you after completion of the online form, and submission of all documentation.
