Credit Recovery

Jeffco's 21st Century Virtual Academy offers credit recovery classes for high school students. Credit Recovery Classes are designed to meet graduation requirements, and are ideal for students who are working towards a high school diploma.

The courses available for credit recovery only include the core course graduation requirements within English, Math, Science, and History courses, as well as the elective courses Recreation Sports and Event Training.

All of Jeffco's 21st Century Virtual Academy credit recovery courses are NCAA approved.

Credit Recovery classes are designed for students who were not successful in class the first time around. Students receive credit based on mastery of class subjects. Credit recovery classes begin several times throughout the year, and run for 21 week sessions:

Cost

The fee for students enrolled in a Jeffco School is $150 per 0.5 credits. The fee for all other students is $200 per 0.5 credits, plus a one time $25 enrollment processing fee.

Students may drop a course during the first 15 schools days of the semester with no penalty for dropping. The course will not be placed on the transcript. A refund minus a $50 fee will be provided. After the 15th day of the semester the student will receive an F on the transcript for the dropped course. No refund will be provided.

If a student has not logged in more than twice to the course and has never worked on an assignment/assessment, at any date, they may request to move a tuition-based course to the next term only. No extensions beyond the next term will be provided. No refunds will be provided.

Enrollment includes full payment of the course fee(s) by the week before the start date.  Payment can be accepted in the following forms:

PaySchools:
Fees may also be paid through PaySchools using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and EFT (e-check).  Fees for multiple students can be paid in a single transaction.  To pay fees online you will need your student’s ID and student’s last name.  There is a $2.00 fee.

Students taking credit recovery courses are required to pay for their course(s) in full the week before the session start dates in order to participate in the credit recovery program.

*Failure to pay for the credit recovery courses in full by the week before the term start date will result in the student being dropped from the course.
