Jeffco's 21st Century Virtual Academy is tuition-free for all Colorado high school students age 14-20. Tuition-based courses are available for adult learners.
The Virtual Academy is proud to be part of Jeffco Public Schools, Colorado's largest school district, which has been educating students for more than 50 years.
Jeffco Public Schools is accredited by the Colorado Department of Education and all Virtual Academy curriculum is aligned with state standards.
The Virtual Academy provides a rigorous curriculum, which is also used by Jeffco high schools.
We offer a variety of education options. Students can elect to study full time and receive a high school diploma, go part time and continue classes at home or at another school, or take supplemental classes to obtain additional credits.
Jeffco Public Schools was honored in a national technology innovation survey conducted by The Center for Digital Education, the National School Boards Association and Converge Online magazine.
Students receive personalized attention from their highly qualified teacher through phone calls, e-mail, and class discussions.
The Virtual Academy uses Blackboard as its online learning platform. More organizations (K-12, higher education, government, and companies) use Blackboard than any other online learning platform worldwide.
We are committed to student success through our focus on rigor, relevance, and relationships.
Our curriculum is delivered over the Internet, which allows students to take courses anywhere in the world, any time of day.
Some courses begin monthly.
Parents can access and review their student's academic progress through the online parent portal.
Jeffco Public Schools has a long tradition of collaborating with higher education institutions around the state to provide advanced learning options for students. Virtual Academy students can also attend Warren Tech, Jeffco's career and technical education center.
