Title I: SES Information for Providers

 Supplemental Educational Services (SES) is free tutoring offered outside of the regular school day. SES services must be high quality, research-based, and specifically designed to increase student achievement. The purpose of the tutoring must be to increase academic achievement in reading or mathematics of eligible students. Jefferson Public Schools pays for tutoring.

Tutoring providers or vendors who are interested in working with the District must meet several requirements, outlined below. These requirements were also covered in a provider training presentation, available online.

2013-2014 Provider Eligibility

Providers interested in working with Jeffco students in the 2013-2014 school year should read the following notice concerning eligibility requirements: 2013-2014 provider selection process.

Jeffco Contracts

Prior to working with Title I students, interested providers must be both a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) approved vendor and a Jeffco contracted vendor. Read more about the contract process.

Student Enrollment Process

After a provider has become a Jeffco approved vendor, they follow several rules on enrolling students and monitoring student performance. Read more about the student enrollment process.

Invoice/Billing Information

SES providers bill Jeffco monthly, and invoices must be received by the Title I offices by the 15th of each month. An original invoice is required; e-mailed and faxed copies will not be accepted. Read more about invoice requirements.

Code of Ethics

All providers are required to adhere to the Colorado Department of Education's SES Code of Ethics. This document is available on the CDE website. Read the Code of Ethics (PDF).

Important Dates and Events

These dates are for the 2013-2014 school year

7/29/13 – Company portfolio due to Barbara Ruley.

8/19/13 – Jeffco training for selected providers.

8/19/13 – Completed contracts must be submitted to Barbara Ruley at the meeting for providers.

Week of 9/2/13 – SES booklets mailed home to parents.

9/16/13 – Applications from families due to the Title I Office.

9/30/13 – List of students emailed to each provider.

10/14/13 – Tutoring begins.
