Title I: SES Information for Providers
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) is free tutoring offered outside of the regular school day. SES services must be high quality, research-based, and specifically designed to increase student achievement. The purpose of the tutoring must be to increase academic achievement in reading or mathematics of eligible students. Jefferson Public Schools pays for tutoring.
Tutoring providers or vendors who are interested in working with the District must meet several requirements, outlined below. These requirements were also covered in a vendor training presentation, available online as a PDF.
Prior to working with Title I students, interested providers must be both a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) approved vendor and a Jeffco contracted vendor. Read more about the contract process.
After a provider has become a Jeffco approved vendor, they follow several rules on enrolling students and monitoring student performance. Read more about the student enrollment process.
SES Providers bill Jeffco monthly, and invoices must be received by the Title I offices by the 15th of each month. An original invoice is required; e-mailed invoices are not accepted. Read more about invoice requirements.
All providers are required to adhere to the Colorado Department of Education's SES Code of Ethics. This document is available on the CDE website. Read the Code of Ethics (PDF).

•1/12/12- Jeffco SES Training.
• 2/3/12 - Parent applications due to Title I Offices.
• 5/25/12 - Post Assessments completed.
• 6/1/12 - SSR due to Title I/Adriana Hernandez.
• 6/15/12 - Invoices due to Title I/Linda Wright.
• July 2012 - SES Provider Training.
