Budgeting for Results

Jeffco Public Schools continues the Budgeting for Results ( BFR ) process to ensure that budgeting supports our commitment to student achievement. The Board of Education's four expected results are:

  • Every student is on track to graduation.
  • Students engage in an education that includes electives, athletics and school-sponsored activities.
  • Students graduate prepared for higher education.
  • Jeffco Public Schools add value to the community.

Fifteen BFR proposals are under consideration for the 2007-2008 school year; for more on the BFR process and to see the detailed proposals, please visit our BFR Web page. District cabinet and a Stakeholders Panel (made up of community and school members) have reviewed the proposals and ranked them. The Stakeholders Panel listed its top four in this order:

•  Proposal # 122 – Progress Monitoring Pilot
•  Proposal # 30 – Additional Vocational Education and Alternative Programs
•  Proposal # 113 - Alameda Area Renewal Project
•  Proposal # 123 – Systemic and Focused Professional Development K-12

The Board of Education is asking for public input on the BFR process and proposals on Saturday, March 17.
