Golden High School
Construction Overview
The new 188,554 square foot facility, which replaces the original school, is designed to accommodate up to 1,450 students.
The two-story classroom wing (which includes daylighting techniques) is built in an “L” shape that encloses two sides of the new courtyard; the third side is flanked by the public areas of the building (Cafeteria, Auditorium and Gym). The LMC is in the heart of the academic building, and can be used for after hour’s public events. Site amenities include a new baseball field and softball field and on-site parking for 500. Because of site space restrictions, the soccer field and tennis courts are being developed at the Johnson Facility site.
Approximate budget: $33 million
