When parents step into O'Connell Middle School they instantly feel a welcoming environment. They know that all students are treated as individuals in a safe school where diversity of staff and students is honored. O'Connell Middle School is currently a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Program and, will soon be the only authorized IB middle school in Jefferson County. O'Connell Middle School is also working very hard to secure the first, on-site, Boys and Girls Club in Jefferson County.
