Additional Information
Rocky Mountain Deaf School, founded in 1997, was born of a passion from parents of deaf and hard of hearing students who have struggled to find an educational opportunity that would support their distinct needs. High expectations in a language rich learning environment have proven to be the formula for success. At Rocky Mountain Deaf School, we believe that deaf and hard of hearing children can and should succeed. Our unique bilingual learning environment recognizes the distinctive language and culture of deaf students, while promoting strong English and ASL literacy skills. When deaf children walk in our door, they have immediate access to 100% of the communication in the school. This exposure to language translates into higher academic achievement and social emotional success.
