Additional Information
The Mitchell Elementary School community provides an environment in which all children can learn and succeed. Located on the northern edge of Golden, we are home to nearly 600 students in grades K-6. We have a diverse population of students as we are home to many children of graduate students at the Colorado School of Mines. Students are able to choose from a large number of extra-curricular activities such as chess club, jump rope club, choir, performing arts, dance, art, and many more. Before and after-school programs are offered at our school through Red Rocks Community College. In 2012, more than 80% of our 3rd-6th graders scored proficient or advanced on every math and reading CSAP test.
