Sources of School Pride
- Semper improved on the 2009 CSAP scores in 11 of the 13 testing categories.
- Grade level teams at Semper work closely to plan the curriculum, so all students are instructed based on data collected from informal and formal assessments.
- Using the Positive Behavior System of P.R.I.D.E., we have a decrease in behavior referrals. Students earn the opportunity to Read with Raggs, our Therapy Dog.

Additional Information
Semper has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Many parents are regular volunteers in the classroom. We have a day care program that supports working parents and a variety of Enrichment activities, providing experiences in the arts and sciences. Our school community speaks 17 languages. We have a Multicultural Day to celebrate this diversity. We host a Literacy Night, Math Strategies Night,Young Writers Conference, and ESL parent meetings. Teachers develop a positive classroom environment starting the first day. We set high expectations for behaviors in the halls, cafeteria and at recess. Students are assessed frequently, and the data is used to guide instruction.
