The school district is divided into 17 articulation areas (feeder schools), each supervised by a community superintendent. Community superintendents are responsible for monitoring and evaluating school effectiveness, monitoring student achievement and implementation of a consistent curriculum across all grade levels, coordinating student services, evaluating principals, monitoring school safety and student behavior, and responding to parental concerns that cannot be resolved at the school level.
