- We use the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Program to ensure our students are safe, respectful, and responsible.
- Our active PTA supports our Author-in-Residence Program and our PBS model.The group has helped to increase technology in our classrooms.

| Powderhorn's has a very supportive PTA that sponsors and organizes many activities and fundraising events throughout the year. These include a JOG-A-THON in October, a school carnival in the spring, as well as several spirit nights and skate nights throughout the school year. The staff and community work together to ensure that the needs of the whole child are met on a daily basis. |
