Sources of School Pride
  • Jefferson High's school newspaper is delivered to the community of Edgewater. Our students also produce a literary magazine called "Listen To Us."
  • Jefferson High has many student clubs including: Robotics Club, Clown Club, Step Team, Las Amigas, Folklorica Dancers, and Key Club.
  • The school is very proud of its mural which illustrates school and community heritage.
Additional Information
All students at Jefferson High School are provided support at their instructional level in reading and writing. We offer a continuum of services from direct instruction for literacy in the areas of decoding, comprehension, phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency and second language instruction to accelerated classes in English Language Arts. Students receiving intensive reading interventions are enrolled in a blocked English class so that they may receive instruction that addresses the English Language Arts curriculum as established by the district.
