Jeffco Public Schools kindergarten programs provide developmentally appropriate education for 5 and 6 year olds. Review the Curriculum Guides to see what Jeffco kindergartners learn.
All Jeffco neighborhood elementary schools offer full or half-day kindergarten programs. Some schools offering half day kindergarten, also offer before and after school child care.
Please call the school where you would like to enroll your student for enrollment information. Many schools have parent information nights, which are listed here. A full list of schools with kindergarten programs is listed below.
A lottery will be used to determine student placement in the different kindergarten programs that schools offer.

Kindergarten Registration: January 9, 2017 – January 31, 2017 for the 2017-18 school year.
Students must be five or six years old on or before Oct. 1 of the school year to enter kindergarten. Some highly gifted children may be granted early entrance to kindergarten.
Registration for kindergarten begins in mid January for the following school year. Check with your local school for details.
Forms required for registration:
- Birth Certificate
- Birth Certificate Application
- Proof of address
- Immunization Record
- Required Immunizations
- Vacunas requeridas
During registration, these forms should be provided to the kindergarten where your student will be enrolled.
Some schools offer free full-day kindergarten, but other programs must charge tuition. The tuition is $300 per month. Check with the school's principal for fee information.
