Kindergarten
Jeffco Public Schools kindergarten programs provide developmentally appropriate education for 5 and 6 year olds. Review the Curriculum Guides to see what Jeffco kindergartners learn.
All Jeffco neighborhood elementary schools offer full or half-day kindergarten programs. Some schools offering half day kindergarten, also offer before and after school child care.
Registration for 2012-2013 kindergarten was held Jan. 17 – 23, 2012. If you are new to the area, please call the school where you would like to enroll your student.
A lottery will be used to determine student placement in the different kindergarten programs that schools offer.
For the 2012-13 school year, some schools offer free full-day kindergarten, but other programs must charge tuition.

Students must be five years old by Oct. 1 to enter kindergarten. Some highly gifted children may be granted early entrance to kindergarten. Check with the Early Childhood Education Office at 303-982-1737, for more details.
Registration for kindergarten begins in mid January for the following school year. Check with your local school for details.

- Birth Certificate Application
- Proof of address
- Immunization Record
- Immunization Requirements - English
- Immunization Requirements - Spanish
During registration, these forms should be provided to the kindergarten where your student will be enrolled.
Some schools offer free full-day kindergarten, but other programs must charge tuition. The tuition for the 2011-12 school year is $300 per month. Check with the school's principal for fee information.
