Student Transcripts and Records

Request Student Records Jeffco Public Schools Former Students / Alumni - NEW ORDERING PROCESS Effective January 11, 2016, in order to provide more secure service to our students and alumni, all transcripts, education/graduation verifications & student records requests including Special Education Records, must be made online using our automated student records request system. Jeffco Public Schools Current Students
Records requests for a student currently enrolled in a Jeffco Public School (with the exception of special education records) need to be requested from the school where the student is currently attending. Students who are withdrawn within the current school year from Jeffco Public Schools should check with the last school attended for the location of the records. Student privacy is of primary concern to Jeffco Public Schools and we take steps every day to keep student data protected. The Student Records Center is responsible for the archival and retrieval of academic records for students.

Special Education Records
Special Education Records requests must be made online using our automated student records request system. Click the Request Student Records button above to access Jeffco's new automated system.  Fax, phone calls and mail requests will not be accepted after January 8, 2016.

Enrich Electronic Records
Special education records requests from Colorado School Districts using Enrich, must submit their request through our form below. An email will be sent with the transfer number. All additional records not available in Enrich will be sent to the identified mailing address.

Annual Notification of Rights

At the beginning of each academic year, Jeffco Public Schools publishes its Annual Notification of Rights informing parents/guardians and eligible students of their rights in securing student data under the Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) and Jeffco District policy JRA/JRC.

Opt-out Instructions for Student Directory Information & Student Photos

As defined by the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), directory information is personally identifiable information that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed.

In accordance with FERPA, parents and guardians may opt out of having Jeffco Public Schools release their student's directory information and/or photos.

Opting Out of Military Recruitment Information

Parents/guardians and eligible students may opt out of having their information disclosed to military recruiters.

To opt out of disclosing information to military recruiters for students in grades 9-12, the parent/guardian or eligible student must log on to Jeffco Connect and check the opt out from military recruiters checkbox in the enrollment tab.

Diplomas and GED Records

High School Diplomas and GED records are not available from the district. The high school diploma is issued at time of graduation and there are no copies.

The transcript may serve as evidence of graduation and may be requested by clicking the Request Student Records button above.

Requests for GED records are submitted to the Colorado Department of Education at 303-866-6613.

Only State or government agencies and out-of-district schools may request student information or records by faxing a request to 303-982-6575.

Legal Request for Records

Lawyers/Law Offices, Subpoena, Court Orders, and Legal Requests for all Student Records including students who are enrolled should be mailed or delivered to the Student Records Center @ 1829 Denver West Drive, Building 27, Golden, CO  80401.  Requests can also be faxed to Student Records Center at 303-982-6575.

Request to Amend Education Records

An eligible student or parent/guardian who believes that information contained in an Education Record is inaccurate or misleading, or violates the privacy or other rights of the student, may request that the district amend the record.- Request to Amend Education Records

Request to Review Education Records

An eligible student or parent/guardian may request to review an Education Record. Within a reasonable time, but not more than 45 days after receiving the request, the Custodian of Records will contact the requestor to set a date and time when the Education Record(s) will be available for inspection and review at the district's offices. The Student Records Center is open: Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm

The Ed Center Administrative offices are open Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The building will be closed on some government holidays and on any other dates or closures announced by Jeffco Public Schools.
