2025 Board of Education Election

On November 4, 2025, Jeffco Public Schools will have three of its five Board of Education seats open for election: 

All Jefferson County voters will have the opportunity to cast their vote for up to one candidate per director district.

Upcoming 2025 School Board Election – What to Expect

Jeffco Public Schools will participate in the November 4, 2025 coordinated election to elect new members to the Board of Education. School board members play a critical role in shaping the future of our district, helping set policy, oversee the budget and represent the voice of our community in public education.

Whether you're considering running for a seat, helping someone who is, or simply planning to vote this fall, here’s what you need to know about the upcoming election.

Key Dates:

  • Call for Nominations Opens: August 6, 2025
  • Candidate Petitions Due: August 29, 2025
  • Ballots Mailed to Voters: Mid-October 2025
  • Election Day: Tuesday, November 4, 2025

Considering Running?

Potential candidates will be able to pick up nomination packets beginning August 6, 2025. To qualify, a candidate must:

  • Be a registered voter and resident of Jeffco Public Schools for at least 12 months
  • Not have been convicted of a sexual offense against a child
  • Not run as a member of a political party
