Green Mountain High School won the $15,000 Succeeds Prize for Excellence in Education Innovation. The
Succeeds Prize is one of the state's most prestigious award and recognition events for Colorado public schools. GMHS's idea to teach geometry through construction projects was selected by an expert panel of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and education innovators. The funds will get the project off the ground, which includes an entirely student-led project of constructing a house for Habitat for Humanity.
