Initiatives
Jeffco Public Schools’ strategic plan, Jeffco Thrives, is organized into major priority areas. Within the priorities are initiatives, defined as areas of focus that help to accomplish goals in each priority area. Initiatives focus Jeffco’s work, align resources and ensure that the district can accomplish its mission of providing a world-class education that prepares all Jeffco students for bright and successful futures locally and globally.
This page provides information about some of Jeffco’s major initiatives.
High School Reimagined
Students need different skills and experiences to succeed in today’s world. They are experiencing major changes in economic, social and political dynamics that influence their lives. The High School Reimagined initiative builds a community and a collaborative vision for the knowledge, skills and experience Jeffco wants students to have when they graduate.
Regional Opportunities for Thriving Schools
Regional Opportunities for Thriving Schools (ROFTS) is Jeffco’s response to the Board of Education’s (BoE) request for a comprehensive plan to ensure thriving schools and extraordinary student experiences.
Healthy and Equitable Start and End Times
Jeffco launched new healthy and equitable start and end times districtwide at the start of the 2023-24 school year. Jeffco’s goal is to have consistent start and end times across all schools to support equitable instruction for all students and improve student achievement.
