Jeffco Talented Teacher
We are fortunate to have some of Colorado's best and brightest classroom teachers in Jeffco!
In partnership with the Jefferson County Education Association (JCEA), our principals, teachers and other school-based staff nominate their classroom colleagues each month for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Once winners are chosen, the Division of Teaching and Learning joins JCEA to honor these teachers by surprising them in their classrooms with a certificate or at a monthly board meeting.
Thank you to our ongoing Talented Teacher nominees for their excellent work and dedication to our mission of providing a world-class education that provides all Jeffco students with bright and successful futures as local and global citizens.

When Sara Manuello Haggerty walks the halls of Bear Creek K-8, she carries with her not just 23 years of teaching experience, but a lifelong connection to Jeffco Schools that began in her own childhood classroom at Dutch Creek Elementary.

At Lakewood High School, amidst the hustle and bustle of classes and extracurriculars, there's a teacher who consistently goes above and beyond to make every student feel seen, valued and a part of the Lakewood family – Bryce Hinrichsen, dedicated PE instructor, passionate coach of the football team and the driving force behind the inspiring Unified Sports program.
