Jeffco Public Schools is proud to recognize the incredible educators who make a lasting impact in our classrooms every day.
Throughout the week, we’ll be celebrating our educators through spotlights, discounts, giveaways and more. Be sure to check this page throughout the week to read new highlights and see the latest giveaways!

Each day during Teacher Appreciation Week, Jeffco educators will be selected at random to receive gift cards from the following restaurants:

After earning her degree at CU Boulder and her teaching license at Regis, Kristina never really left Jeffco — and she never wanted to. Now in her 14th year of teaching first grade in the same district that raised her, she pays it forward. Her advice to students? "You are capable of magical and wonderful things. Keep going." She even met her husband in German class at Green Mountain. Some roots just run deep.

Ways to Show Your Appreciation
There are many ways the community can show appreciation for Jeffco educators:
- Spread the word on social media using #ThanksJeffcoEducators
- Write a thank-you note expressing your gratitude
- Participate in school events or initiatives to honor educators
- Donate supplies or resources to classrooms
- Get involved in parent-teacher organizations or volunteer opportunities

Jeffco Talented Teacher Program
We are fortunate to have some of Colorado's best and brightest classroom educators in Jeffco!
In partnership with the Jefferson County Education Association (JCEA), our principals, educators and other school-based staff nominate their classroom colleagues each month for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Once winners are chosen, the Division of Teaching and Learning joins JCEA to honor these educators by surprising them in their classrooms with a certificate or at a monthly board meeting.
Thank you to our ongoing nominees for their excellent work and dedication to our mission of providing a world-class education that provides all Jeffco students with bright and successful futures as local and global citizens.
