Jeffco Public Schools FCB Dashboard

FCB Dashboard (ENGLISH) FCB Dashboard (ESPAÑOL)

Recognizing that Jeffco continues to be in a declining enrollment position, action is being taken to ensure that every Jeffco student has an extraordinary experience and receives instructional excellence at our schools. Taking into account the district's large ecosystem of schools, Jeffco developed the FCB Dashboard to monitor the health of all district-managed schools as outlined in the district’s FCB-R policy: educational program, operating costs, per pupil costs, staffing structures, student dislocation (geographic-transportation), building capacity, projected enrollment, desirability of site (safety-size-drainage), condition of physical plant, life expectancy of building, and community use of facility.

First released in June 2022 for elementary schools (K-5), the first secondary school (K-8, 6-8, 6-12, and 9-12) dashboards will be released in January 2023. For more information about how the data from the FCB Dashboard is used visit our FAQ page.

How should school leaders and community members use the information found in the FCB Dashboard? The data found in the FCB Dashboard represent the factors that may be considered in decisions around school closures and consolidations. School leaders and community members may use the report to better understand strengths and opportunity areas that can be woven into their school’s long-term strategic planning efforts.

The district is focused on how this work will impact people—our students, families, staff, and neighbors. To provide extraordinary learning experiences for every student and extraordinary professional experiences for every staff member in a declining enrollment environment, Jeffco must concentrate its resources into fewer schools. School closures and consolidations is among the most difficult work any school district takes on in partnership with its communities. The conversations will be challenging but the work is critical. Moving Jeffco from good, to great, to extraordinary requires both building on our many bright spots and confronting our challenges through the lens of opportunity.
