Welcome to the SENG/Family Book Study Groups page.  This year there will be 4 different book studies to select from.  These book studies will be facilitated by GT Social Emotional Learning Counselors.

Jeffco’s GT Social Emotional Learning Counselors (GT SELCS) will be holding monthly Parent/Family Book Study Groups for the 2021-22 school year. These groups provide an opportunity for families to learn about their GT child(ren) and to connect with other parents/families who understand the unique joys and challenges of raising GT kids.

There is no cost to these sessions, but families are responsible for buying the relevant book for each session, and must sign up below! Parents/family members may register for more than 1 session, as each session is offered at a different day/time, but families are expected to purchase the appropriate book for each session.

Once registered, families will receive a link to join the sessions virtually. Please do not forward this link to others who are not registered. You may encourage other families to register, but we will only allow those registered into the sessions. There have been issues with people disrupting meetings throughout the country, and we want to ensure a safe and productive atmosphere for all!

Make Your Worrier a Warrior“Parents can team up with their children or teens to help them do the most courageous thing they will ever have to do: conquer their Worry Monster. Make Your Worrier a Warrior provides useful and comforting methods that parents can use to help their children create an anxiety-reducing "toolbox" to carry with them wherever they go. In building this foundation for their children, parents might even find that these strategies will work just as effectively to manage their own anxieties.”

The time for this book group is 6-7:30 pm.

Facilitated by: Tracy Ferguson and Casey Gardner
