Jefferson County Charter Schools Consortium Earns A+ Advocate Award
Posted on 10/15/2018
A+ AwardThe Colorado League of Charter Schools awarded the Jefferson County Charter Schools Consortium (JCSC) the A+ Advocate Award. Dave Brazzell (in photo) and Jeff Wilhite accepted the award on behalf of JCSC. The League stated "they were chosen because for nearly a decade JCSC has been bringing the charter schools of Jefferson County together to create common purpose and a common voice. As a result of JCSC’s efforts, the charter schools of Jefferson County have been able to present a united front on issues ranging from draft district policies to bond inclusion to mill equalization. In part, because of the common voice they represent, the district has chosen to include virtually all of its charter schools in a full pro rata distribution of each of its past two bond proposals – a decision really without precedent in just about any other district here in Colorado. It would be great if all charter school communities in the state could create similar structures to that created by JCSC." Congrats!
