Happening Now

Round 2 is now open for applications. Schools are on summer break until July 22, so applications may not be processed until then.

Who should use EnrollJeffco for Round 2?
  1. Students new to Jeffco
  2. Current students that wish to apply to a different school (not current enrollment or expected neighborhood school)

  3. Preschool students. Use EnrollJeffco button above to apply. You may also contact the Early Learning Office, Monday - Friday (8am - 2pm) at 303-982-1737 for information and assistance with the online enrollment process

  4. Kindergarten students if you wish to change from half-day to full-day, or to apply to a different school that is not your current/expected neighborhood school

Other Round 2 fast facts:

  • Round 2 applications are processed as they are received based on priority per policy JFBA. After you apply, you will receive notification your application was received, then either an offer (meaning there is room for your student), or a waitlist position (meaning there is no room for your student, but if enrollment changes the waitlist number indicates how many students are ahead of you in line to get in).

  • If your student is on a waitlist, you will remain on that waitlist through Round 2 and be sent an offer if space becomes available anytime during that window. If you accept a waitlist offer, any previously accepted offer is automatically released to other students if needed.

  • You can log in to your account by clicking the “Apply Now” button above at any time to see status (offers, waitlist position).

If you have questions, please call the school you are interested in attending after they return from summer break on July 22.

Who should use EnrollJeffco?

All parents/guardians of new and current students for the 2019-20 school year should use EnrollJeffco January 22-February 8, 2019.

After February 8, 2019 use EnrollJeffco "Apply Now" button to choice enroll during Round 2 or if you are a new student.

If you plan to return to your same school or move up to your next level neighborhood school, you do not need to use EnrollJeffco now. Simply call or email your school after they return from summer break on July 22 and confirm you plan to attend your current/expected school.

When do I use EnrollJeffco?

Anytime: the EnrollJeffco SchoolFinder tool if you are interested in learning about different schools. Browse through all 155 options in one place.

Round 2 Choice Enrollment begins at noon on February 9, 2019.
This enrollment period is for new students and students interested in applying for a school other than their current or expected (neighborhood) school and preschool. Round 2 applications are processed as they are received and notifications of offers or waitlist positions will be sent on a priority basis beginning early March. Just click the "Apply Now" button above.

You will need a Jeffco Connect (our student information system) account, username,
and password. First make sure you have a Jeffco Connect account, then use the same username and password when clicking the "apply now" button above.

January 22 - February 8. was Round 1: Parents used EnrollJeffco to enroll in a neighborhood school (K-12), indicate plans to return to the same school, or to apply to a different school (preschool and choice).

How to use EnrollJeffco:

1. Make sure your Jeffco Connect contact information is up to date for current students.  Contact your school if you do not remember your user name. New families will need to create a new account. A new student in a current family will simply be added to the family account.

2. Click the Enroll Now button to indicate if your student is returning to the same school or plans to attend his/her assigned neighborhood school (K-12). If you are not applying for a choice enrollment, you are done!

3. For choice enrollment, you may apply to as many schools as you would like. All submissions for Round 1 are due midnight on Friday, February 8, 2019. Remember, this is an application. Acceptance to a choice school or preschool is based on space available.  If there are more applicants than the school can hold, there is a lottery for those spaces.

4. If you submit a preschool or choice application during Round 1 you will hear from all schools on February 27. EnrollJeffco users that applied for schools (choice enrollment or preschool) will receive a notification indicating (a) an opportunity to accept an offer, or (b) information about waitlist placement, for each school application. You have five days to accept one of the offers received.  Once an offer is accepted, all other offers are rescinded.  You will remain on the waitlist of any schools who sent a waitlist notification.

5. Respond to offers within five days of notification. After five days offers may be released to other students if needed.

6. After February 9 the process is the same except applications are processed as they are received.

August: Students register for their selected school using JeffcoConnect. Updated contact information, fees, emergency contacts, and "opt-outs" are captured in August.

Current students wishing to change schools during the school year must use the administrative transfer process.
