student raising hands imageJeffco Public School is committed to providing a clear view of how tax dollars are spent and how we operate. While we have provided financial information online for years, consolidating it on this Web page is the first step toward even greater financial transparency.

We invite you to use the Payment Review Searchable Database linked above to review district expenditures, and review the reports listed above to see our financial performance.

As you review this information, we feel it is important to remember that Jeffco is the second largest school district in Colorado, serving over 85,000 students with over 14,000 full and part-time employees. The district’s total appropriated budget for 2019-2020 for all funds is $1,246,054,036 (of that the General Fund appropriated budget is $805,068,655). To understand why adding appropriations for all funds does not equal total district expenditures, see "Understanding Total Appropriations and Why Schools Focus on the General Fund for Budgeting."

For a citizen's guide to Jeffco Public Schools current budget, read "Dollars and Sense."
