Fashion design is taking textiles and creating wearables that accentuate style and personality. Students in Fashion Design and Merchandising courses prepare to apply artistic principles and techniques to the professional design of commercial fashions, apparel, and accessories, and the management of fashion development projects. This could also include instruction in wholesaling, advertising, selling and customer relations.
Interior design is taking a space and giving it beauty and flow, as well as functional purpose through decoration using art and furniture. Students taking Interior Design courses apply artistic principles and techniques to the professional planning, designing, equipping, and furnishing of residential and commercial interior spaces.
